★ Our beginnings
A school created by its community
On 28 May 1993, ten preschoolers started school in a parent’s garage, supported by families with a vision for the education they wanted for their children, and they were prepared to build it themselves.
More than 30 years later, Te Uki Ou remains a not-for-profit community school, built on that same belief in our children and their potential.

Creating better spaces to learn and play
We are inviting our community to help improve the spaces that support our children’s learning and play, from calm, flexible environments for individual and small-group learning to outdoor spaces for movement, discovery and connection.
